We are not sorry.
Toronto Animal Services issues a tag to dogs it declares dangerous. Section 349-16.1 of the Municipal Code. Look it up.
The city calls your dog a hazard. It makes you muzzle her. It stamps the record. It takes a pit bull mix who's never nipped a thing — files her next to a rap sheet, charges you a muzzle fee, and calls that justice.
That designation is bureaucratic cowardice dressed up as public safety. We think it is bullshit.
So we took the tag off the dog and put it on a shirt.
We screen-printed the designation the city reaches for every time it cannot be bothered to look at an actual animal. We gave it back to the people who love those dogs — the pit mix owners, the mastiff people, the ones with the Rottweilers who sleep on the couch, the ones who got the letter.
Zero apologies.
All bite.
